Claudio Grosman

Associate Professor, Department of Molecular and Integrative Physiology, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign

The Grosman lab has expertise in the application of physical-chemistry concepts to the elucidation of the relationships between structure and function in ligand-gated ion channels, especially those involved in fast synaptic transmission, at the single-molecule and ensemble level. The main techniques used by this lab are patch-clamp electrophysiology and protein engineering in a background of quantitative thinking.
