Associate Members
We would like to announce a new initiative aimed at maximizing the reach and investment of the MPSDC through direct or indirect interactions with the scientific community at large: Associate Members (AMs for short). AMs enter the consortium in a budget neutral way (unfortunately, due to budgetary constrains), so they can naturally find “cross pollination” with existing members in projects or cores. AM’s participate in ongoing or new projects, attend all meetings and have access to the interactions and core resources of the Consortium. Ultimately, we expect the most promising AM’s to generate their own projects and be fully funded as either a pilot/bridge project or as a new (or even existing) core facility.
For the first group of Associate Members, we have identified the following AMs:
- Luis Cuello (Texas Tech University)
- José Faraldo-Gómez (National Heart, Lung & Blood Institute, Theoretical Molecular Biophysics Section, National Institutes of Health)
- Katherine Henzler-Wildman (Washington University in St. Louis)
